Artist Statement
My work experiments with ephemeral, surrealist images with potent tones. Informed by the aesthetics of tranquility, my subconscious & intuition guide me through my process to discover new realities. I create to create. I prefer a multiplicity of interpretations, and other people’s perceptions inform my work. Inspired by coloring books, I construct coloring sheets of my compositions & send them out to my peers before I begin rendering. When the sheets are returned to me, I get a glimpse into how they interpret my work. I enjoy rich, fantastical compositions where the viewer loses themselves in the dreamscape. I minimize my stress during my process. Loose planning, embracing mistakes. How can I cultivate serenity when I’m stressed?
I’m always instigating, never answering.
